Collaborative Workflow for Geospatial Knowledge in Energy Transition
Geospatial World and UNSD is developing a collaborative approach towards advancing the role of Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure (GKI) in global society and economy, by projecting the value proposition of geospatial knowledge in diverse user sectors. One of the key sectors is Energy. It is crucial to identify the current state of adoption and integration of geospatial data and frontier technology in energy sector along with the challenges and gap areas to project the value proposition of a collaborative workflow for geospatial knowledge.
The integration of geospatial and frontier technologies in the energy sector for the optimization of the workflow of energy sector will further help in increasing the annual efficiency gains and cost savings. Further, it also aids in the provision of uninterrupted supply of energy by enhancing the demand side management system. The geospatial and frontier technologies in the energy sector are the solution to the location component in the energy sector that exist across the energy workflow beginning from exploration of the energy source to the transmission and distribution of the energy source, thereby, resulting in maximizing ROI and reducing the operational risks.
